April 27th, 2015
Until 6 January 2015 Rome offers you & your kids a chance to go a bit deeper into Italian handicraft, but in a fancy way: 212 Nativity scenes made out of the most incredible materials will be on display at the exhibit “100 Presepi”, just besides the most central Piazza del Popolo.
Nativity scenes building tradition dates back to the Middle Age, getting more and more refinement through the centuries, coming up to the Baroque age in Neaples, when it rised to that status of excellence still admired today.
“100 Presepi” won’t let you disappointed and will allow you to explore a tradition which is much older than the well known Christmas tree. Special workshops for kids will provide you with a creative alternative to more serious mumeums downtown. Open every day from 9:30 am to 8 pm, at Sale del Bramante, next to the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo.
Vivi Rome Bed & Breakfast is at just ten minutes metro journey from Piazza del Popolo: catch line A from Termini station and get off at Flaminio!
